For the project carried out for Myrtha Pools at the Hotel Calimala in Milan, we enhanced the integration between the classic architecture of Porta Venezia and the technological innovation of the rooftop pool. The use of a drone for low-level aerial shots was essential to contextualize the pool within Milan’s urban fabric and showcase its dramatic location on the sixth floor of the building.
The ground-based filming technique focused on the rendering of texture and precision of detail. We used a gimbal to create fluid tracking shots along the perimeter of the pool, capturing the movement of the water on the cascading infinity edge and the reflections on the white laminam cladding. To enhance the marble effect and the clean lines of the design, we alternated fixed shots on a tripod with a rigorous symmetrical composition, visually conveying the solidity and modularity typical of Myrtha technology. These static shots highlight the perfection of the finishes and the harmony between the pool and the rooftop furnishings.
The editing is purely rhythmic, constructed with sharp cuts precisely timed to the soundtrack. This stylistic choice allows the images to flow without distractions, allowing the purity of the water and the elegance of the structure to speak for themselves. The management of editing time emphasizes the sense of comfort and luxurious silence of the location, transforming the technical description of waterproofing and modularity into a fluid and refined visual experience, in keeping with the hotel’s Milanese style.
